Hi all,
I was reading
http://wiki.hamaralinux.org/wiki/index.php/GIT_Client_Setup_and_Configuration
and it had the following statement

"You may find the default post buffer of your git client is too small to
push large deltas to Gitblit."

Can somebody tell me what Gitblit is used for ? I read
http://gitblit.com/ but didn't get too much of an idea.

While I have no idea about Gitblit , for Gitlab and Github what is
usually done that you fork somebody's repo (make a copy of it), push
whatever changes you want to do to your repo (make sure you have
sensible commit messages) and then do a pull request/merge request . The
author/s of that repo. review your pull request/merge request/patch and
then either accept it or reject it.

git config --global http.postBuffer 524288000

While this was good to know that you can have so large buffers i.e. 500
MB but who is going to be reviewing 500 MB of data at one sitting or
even multiple sittings.

Is this for hamara or for internal use within the company.

If this is for internal use then it should be categorized like that so
it's known.
