[Hamara-devel] did we do a mistake in choosing bugzilla ?

Hi all,
I think one of the reasons which never entered into the discussion when 
choosing bug-trackers is how long the support release would be of bugzilla.

I looked at release information and from the history it seems that the 
official support release is only around 6 months~year at the most.

This would mean updates to bugzilla every 6 months to a year.

I do not know what people make of that as whenever a new release
or two comes, we would need to make a demo machine and see how our 
production bugs fare on that.

That will be time-consuming and have a certain pressure to make it work 
which we could have done without.

The Debian BTS does boast of a far far longer shelf-life but as I 
understand that ship has sailed.
