The person saying this is a respected free software developer.

He is the person because of which there is something called systemd-shim 
which basically is something you need if you have a laptop running/using 
UEFI.

And he is not the only one who has the same concerns, just he's more 
articulate and he also has opportunities like meeting Mark Shuttleworth 
and asking him about it.

This was one of the reasons why I left the Ubuntu community among others.
