Hi all,
Sorry for being away. This conference thing has me beaten but still
trying :)
Anyways, as far as the debian mailing lists are concerned, that's
another ball-game. You have whole lot of lists from very high-traffic
lists which are debian-devel
https://lists.debian.org/stats/debian-devel.png
to some of the others which are more passive in nature

So we cannot compare with them. Also for them DFSG or Debian Free
Software Guidelines guide all their actions. As far as hamara either as
a company or a foundation should make its own guidelines and rules.
I would suggest 2-3 very simple rules :-
a. No Off-topic chat - While we can and should allow all free software
chats, including non-GNU/Linux (yes there is free software besides
GNU/Linux) we should allow that. We could also allow hardware-related
topics too. What we should not be allowing is either dogs/cats photos or
any other memes of the day/week etc.
b. No harassment or bullying of any kind and have somebody take that
position - Maybe Aparna or somebody else from hamara can take that up.
It could be a simple abuse at hamaralinux.org or something similar. I could
be temporarily be part of it if needed.
c. Commercial and Events should be properly tagged in Subject such as
[Events] or [Commercial] [Job]
Apart from this, we can be free, what do people think ?
