Hi all,
The difference between a commercial entity and community comes here.

Now in a commercial settings, surely heads would have rolled or at least 
something or the other. Even for the administrator, s/he would have 
programmed an SMS alert whenever the mirror update process is paused for 
whatever reason, especially if it invokes a similar pattern all over.

I actually didn't have time as well as sometimes web is flaky so thought 
it might be an issue at my end as well.

Hopefully this can serve as a lesson to us as well.
