Well, it's been a long time since I looked at the enlightenment desktop 
- I ran it briefly maybe 7 or 8 years ago.

It's worth doing a comparison between it and lxde.

elive have a beautiful implementation of enlightenment as a livecd:

Let's give it a look and gather feedback?
