Hi all,
What do people think of having few entities registered on reddit.

One would obviously be hamaralinux, other would be Vikas and some more
of us could jump to help out there. I am registered on reddit about 3-4
years now.

I haven't used the service much but that's because it's interesting when
you are either launching a business or want to discuss something about
your business/technology or simply want to flamewar with other people.

There are lot of geeks and psuedo geeks who simply live on reddit or/and
quora. This is more in-line with the newish generation of web-users
rather than some of us.

There is nothing wrong in this, it's just that I feel we would be remiss
if we do not take the opportunity to connect with them as well.

We could do it now or we could do it when we are looking to make some news.

This was on my mind for quite sometime but the story about having
open-source drivers for PowerVR just triggered it

The conversation in this case though is pretty gentle vis-a-vis to what
goes on reddit so it's not really representative.

It is a somewhat a tricky interface and environment as unlike other
places people can be brutal, nasty and at times is a free-for-all no
holds barred.

There is redditquette but the mods there are quite lenient at least in
the last 3-4 years that I have been.

Quora in that sense is much more gentleman-like similar to what you see
on lwn.net or any other professional board.

Of course, there are plenty others in the social media which I haven't
talked about but it probably be prudent to have our presence on few
social media sites and then slowly expand while at the same time
understanding the nuances of the various social-media sites and what
message we want to give/share.

Again, this is not something which we need to act on now but something
we perhaps need to at least do before we are at the announcement stage.

Look forward to feedback to what people think of the above.
