Hi all,
I have finished http://wiki.hamaralinux.org/wiki/index.php/FAQs . I
have taken certain liberties while answering the FAQ as I have also
shared some of my own dreams and wishes while writing the FAQ.
For instance, see
http://wiki.hamaralinux.org/wiki/index.php/FAQs#7._Ubuntu_seems_available_for_ARM_and_Raspberry_etc._How_hamara_differs_here.3F
and see the last para in the answer
"Also, while Hamara ARM would be the first product on the store, we
would be working towards enlarging our portfolio to include
motherboards, GPU's, hamara designed machines etc. so our customers do
not have to assemble machines on their own and be sure of hamara support
out of box. "
While I do not know if hamara would want to go in that direction, I
certainly would like something like system76.com for India. It would
need quite a bit of infrastructure but might be feasible in the long-run.
It is a pity that system76.com does not share any stats. on turnover
otherwise that would also have helped gauge the sort of market such an
activity may have.
Obviously, there is lot of star-gazing atm happening on the ATM which
probably be crystallized more as we go forward.
I have just added one statement of foundation as well but in a
wishy-washy manner as that may change.
I hope this is good for now. People are free to edit or change the same.
In case people have any issues with any of the content, please let me
know what is not right/needs to be changed and will do that.
In either case, am watching that page for signs of change.
