Hi all,
It would be nice if we are able to package and distribute the latest
stable jhbuild and then use to build and try out 3.16 and see how the
various modules work with each other.
See https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/Jhbuild for more info.
I just filed a bug in Debian BTS for an updated jhbuild as the one in
debian is pretty much obsolete.
See #784360 in Debian BTS.
It took quite a bit of time but was able to clone jhbuild to ~/.local/bin
The only sad part, wasn't able to get the --version command and realized
somebody reported it sometime back, chimed in so hopefully some action
happens soonish.

JHbuild is unique in the sense it also works like git or any version
control + works as a build tool also (like gcc make and others.) I am
not sure where the modules end up which are built. Do they lie in the
directory in which they were built or what happens (something like what
chroot, schroot or python virtualenv does).
What is/was interesting to note is that the freedesktop people also seem
to use it. See http://freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/jhbuild/
If people have any experience of working with jhbuild push it here so
that it can be put into wiki later.
Look forward to any ideas, feedback etc.
