Hi all,
I do not know how many of our servers are using https or GNU TLS but
seems there is movement on that both on mozilla and chromium. See :-
https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2015/04/30/deprecating-non-secure-http/
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IGYl_rxnqEvzmdAP9AJQYY2i2Uy_sW-cg9QI9ICe-ww/edit
https://blog.mozilla.org/security/files/2015/05/HTTPS-FAQ.pdf
https://w3c.github.io/webappsec/specs/powerfulfeatures/
https://www.chromium.org/Home/chromium-security/marking-http-as-non-secure
You will lot of discussions on all of the above in the following 2 groups :-
https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/forum/#!forum/blink-dev
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.dev.platform/
I had gone to a mozilla-rust meetup and it was one of the hot topics
that was discussed by some community members among other things. I will
share other topics in other emails
This does mean that if there are any software solutions which increase
adaptability of https needs to be included in the distro.
