Sharing an email I sent few years ago on another list :-

Hi all,
I have been thinking for quite sometime about a company I know which
has done interesting work and have interesting ideas. The name of the
company is 'Semco' and is a sort of a co-op which has made industrial
democracy a way to work ahead. The company is from Brazil and the
person at the helm of it is a certain Ricardo Semler .

There are two books of his 'Maverick' and 'The Seven day weekend'
which most of the people would probably enjoy.

- I had come to know about this person and the book via a friend in 2011 
something. I still haven't bought the book yet,  will probably buy it in 
a month or so.
