[Hamara-devel] A missing game which I haven't found in the FOSS world.

Hi all,
I have been looking for a game for my nephews and nieces for quite
sometime but haven't found a FOSS equivalent. Dunno about the newbies,
but the generation my age would remember the analogue game where you had
shapes of different continents and you were supposed to fit the
continent to the place where it would fit so kids (like me) learnt about
shapes and sizes. Think it would be better to show what I mean online
then just speaking :-
See http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/Geography.htm and
http://www.seterra.net/
With OSM's data and using today's toolkits like gtk+ (gimp toolkit) or
and QT .
http://www.gtk.org/ and https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GTK%2B/
qt.io
So there is quite a bit of potential to make something there.
And while I'm on the gtk train, let me also share a kickstarter which
was successful which hamara could/should look at as well -
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1381437927/endless-computers/description
As can be seen they learnt the same lessons that we learnt or are
learning as well.
If needed, could ask around and see if we are able to source a unit or
two to see what they have done. Somehow I forgot that kickstarter and
the kick being that it was all done in 4 days only, the amount they
wanted they got in 4 days flat and almost 75% and from what I recollect
they didn't do any advertising at all unlike many who do.
