From what I know, HTML5 is in-browser animation rendering along with other HTML5 rendering. I guess one of the plugins uses it.:

A lot of HTML5 games / interactions etc use it as an alternative to javascript, or alongside it, from what I know.

This is referencing a specific plugin called AddThis which uses a Canvas feature called Fingerprinting  which is different altogether - we don’t use this plugin.
In that same article there is a tool to check which plugins / sites have it, and none of our plugins do.
