[Hamara-devel] Inside the Kota Coaching Factory

Hi all,

For the last 3 days have been reading this disturbing series of news 
articles about Education.

For those who don't know this is a place in Rajasthan

As can be seen in the wikipedia article, it prides itself as being the 
coaching capital of the world.

This is a place which calls for something like hamara for intervention.

If education is multi-media moded, it would probably a bit less 
stressful than it is now.

Of course, just changing the mode would not bring a big change unless it 
accompanied by vast education reforms but it would be a start.

What do people think ?

Few friends of mine tried and failed two times to get into IAS (Indian 
Administrative Services - these make up the bulk of our ministries)  and 
Medical Entrances and they took lot of time to come out of depression.

Hope hamara could do something for these students. Lot of Free software 
could be curated and used for these and there is possibility of 
partnering with the institutes. If the solution is low-cost and lessens 
the pressure on the students don't think they will mind it.
