That's actually a big no-no. The reason why we want to have
documentation in-house is that when and if a person needs it, we can
help her/im . If we send her/im there then :-
a. There is possibility that we lose her/im at least for this session.
We would want people to stay on our web-pages as far as possible. That
is one way to get her/im in the funnel (for contributing anything to
hamara).
b. Due to nature of the web, pages get changed, moved, removed or the
domain goes. We would have to add a bot or something to watch those
pages, this is not a responsibility that we should take.
c. Documentation about free software is hard as changes are often. As we
are talking about DVD burning, I vaguely remember a third-party
GTK/GNOME 2 tool which was much talked about before Brasero (from GNOME
people) and even in that Brasero didn't perform well for quite a long
time. Even today the command-line tools on which Brasero is based
perform much better, although also have to say Brasero now performs
adequately but this is going beyond the topic a bit.
What I meant to say that we know what software we have in our archive
and only we should talk of those as only those software we would support
or be in a position to give support.
I hope I have given enough answers why it is better to have our own
documentation (besides it would be easier to polish it as and when
needed and have them printed, if needed.)

We are at the last stages of GNOME transition in unstable. See
https://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-gnome-maintainers/2015-October/122704.html
And in fact, G-S just landed in sid/unstable just now.
https://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-gnome-maintainers/2015-October/122872.html
I am hoping all are aware of www.0d.be/debian/debian-gnome-3.18-status.html
This can be used to track where Debian is at with each package version
number. Much easier to track.
