Hi,

Next Wednesday 23rd September the release team will hold an IRC meeting in
public. We hope that this will be the first in a series of regular meetings
to review progress, discuss forthcoming work, and provide some visibility
for the project into our deliberations.

You are welcome to attend, but I ask that you stay read-only unless invited
to contribute. (I have not yet found an IRC equivalent to the conch[1], 
to my
disappointment.)

We are gathering an agenda; if there's an item you'd like see discussed, ask
a member of the release team to add it.
