I suspect that will build - but we do need to resolve this conflict.

Debian contains xkb-data but not xkb-data-i18n.

Ubuntu say that xkb-data-i18n contains translations for xkb-data.

According to your install log however - it seems debian's xkb-data 
contains at least one of the translations that come from xkb-data-i18n.

Is it just that these are two packages in Ubuntu - but one package in 
Debian?
