Here is what Arshpreet has to say about using enlightenment with

Some days ago I was able to compile all the packages of
Enlightenment <br>
environment on my Ubuntu 14.10 and it is running very smooth.
<br>
<br>
One more thing I tried that was theme development. In
Enlightenment <br>
theme development is just like writing HTML code or the one
who know <br>
how to use only <img> tag in HTML5 can be theme
developer. Moreover <br>
LXDE gives you only a kind of classy look but on the other
hand in <br>
terms of visualizations E19 is much rich and more <br>
configurable.(Sometimes looks matter lot) <br>

Well, it's been a long time since I looked at the enlightenment
desktop - I ran it briefly maybe 7 or 8 years ago.<br>
<br>
It's worth doing a comparison between it and lxde.<br>
<br>
elive have a beautiful implementation of enlightenment as a

Let's give it a look and gather feedback?<br>
