For me I think the bigger problem with either name is that there English 
and don't make
sense to users who cannot read English.

Phonetics of Firefox or Iceweasel sound pretty weird / forced when you 
say them in Hindi or other Indian dialects.

Using Iceweasel as a base seems pretty sensible though -as a lot of the 
strip out work is done there already. Contributing back and helping
with Iceweasel should also be high on our agenda.
